Grand Cru
Chateau Los Boldos |
|||
| Style / Colour:
Dry, full-bodied red wine Region : Rapel Valley, Requinoa, Chile Grape : 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot Alcohol : ___% by volume (but could slightly vary depending on the vintage) Tasting Notes : Deep ruby red with a touch of blue. The intense nose exhales red fruits, spices and woody notes that create a flattering complexity. A rich wine with a round and supple attack: The long finish is supported by a generous tannin structure. The Grand Cru is the perfect Chilean “hermitage”. Should improve over the next 10-15 years. It is created as a blend of our best parcels of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. After one year of separate ageing, 80% and 20% of those respective reserve wines are blended and re-entered into the barrels to age an additional 6 months.
